Winter at Sun Peaks Resort
Timberline 24 is set up for cold-weather trips: dry gear storage, a short walk to the main village, and a private hot tub after skiing or boarding. This page summarizes how the townhome fits a winter itinerary; live calendars and policies are on the official booking page.
Lift days and mountain access
Sun Peaks is British Columbia's second-largest ski area by skiable terrain, with family-friendly groomers and gladed areas depending on conditions. From Timberline, guests typically plan on skiing or riding the Sunburst and Sundance lifts and connecting runs; exact routes change with snow and ability. The townhome is not a true ski-to-the-door lodge, but the owner documents a practical ski-in path from the Sundance side and a ski-out approach that uses the Valley Trail toward the village lifts — read the full notes before committing to a "ski-in / ski-out" expectation for your group.

Village evenings
Approximately a 2 minute walk to the main village, so dinner, rentals, lessons, and events in the main village are easy without driving. That matters on storm days or when younger guests need a break between sessions. Directly across the street from the Sports Complex (tennis courts, soccer field, playground). The resort's covered outdoor NHL-sized ice rink (winter) and Sun Peaks Alpine Fitness outdoor pool (summer drop-in) are also just across the street — confirm hours, season dates, and fees on the Sun Peaks Resort site.
Why a townhome works in winter
- Private hot tub: private hot tub (new july 2025), holds 4 adults
- Garage and laundry: room for skis, boards, and boots, plus in-suite laundry for base layers and socks.
- Full kitchen: breakfast before first chair and relaxed meals when you do not want to eat out every night.
- Fireplace and living space: cozy living room with large TV, L-shaped sofa, and stone fireplace (see photos on the overview page).
